Happy in Love Couple- Engagement

It brought me great joy and honor to be asked to capture this couples engagement photos. I have known the future groom now for 15 years (wow that makes me feel old), in fact we went to high school together in McAlester and played tennis together. I lost touch with him after I graduated and then got to walk down the aisle with him in my best friends wedding.
John and Jennifer are amazing people. I got the honor of meeting Jennifer over dinner about 6 months ago and we hit it off instantly! She is a blast and John is a very very lucky guy (Jenn is also very lucky).
They asked me to shoot their wedding for them in September and we scheduled their engagement shoot for March... Of course we all know how March or April were here in Oklahoma, if it wasn't raining the wind was blowing so hard that there was no way we could have had any fun! Well FINALLY last week worked out for us. We decided to meet up at Lake Hefiner and although it was still very windy we made do and had a blast!

I have the honor of capturing this wonderful couples journey over the next year (and hopefully beyond) B&A are part of my baby plan so get useto seeing them around here! I have known both now for over seven years and my husband has known them since childhood. "B" is goofy and you can never get him to be serious about ANYTHING and "A" is one of the most amazing, caring, loving indivduals I know! She is going to make an amazing momma (don't worry he is going to be a great dad too!) Here is a small preview of a couple from our fun shoot this past Tuesday. I will be showing more in the next week or so!

I had the honor of having Leah come to town a few weeks back and we teamed up on a wedding and 6 boudior sessions (plus a seminar) in three days. WOW Little "A" is turning 1!

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. S&B came in for their Maternity session exactly one year ago tomorrow!

You may remember Little A from previous sessions but our time together yesterday was special. It was celebrating her upcoming first birthday! We started indoors and had some fun with the Spring/Easter set and then outside to run off a little energy before we gave her her very own cake to do what she wanted with. It was very sweet. She was very "clean" with it and really just sort of wanted to play and explore instead (which is typical of any 1 year old!) but she got into it a little bit!

We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to have her come visit me many more times in this next year!

I am finally getting caught up, ok ok thats not true but I am trying to at least!!!!

Jamie an Corey just returned from their honeymoon and I am sure hoping they have been stalking my blog waiting for their preview!!! (Which I know Jamie and I am sure she has :) )

Corey and Jamie I want you to know what an honor it was to be a part of your special day! I have known Jamie now for about 5 years (or longer) and she is such an amazing person!!! Corey from the times we have met and spoke I can tell how special you are and how great you two are together.

Corey and Jamie met in 2007 during OU/Texas weekend thru a mutual friend and the connection was instantly there! Corey was living in Texas and Jamie here in Oklahoma but they made it work, seeing eachother every chance they got! Corey drove up and surprised Jamie on August 3, 2008 before Church (one of the few weekends that they didnt get to see eachother) and popped the question......

I wish you two the very best in Texas an hope I get to hang out with you when you make it back up this way...

I got back from my trip on Friday and let me tell you I have been running ever since. I had a wedding Saturday that was beautiful!!! I am working on getting a preview put together now! I also had 6 shoots between Sunday and Monday and then a seminar on Monday night. I spent today trying to get back on schedule with the kids and life and all that. Well as many of my readers know I am in Vegas for the WPPI! And let me tell you I am having a freaking blast!!!!! I have learned so much and seen so many new products and options and my oh my does the list go on and on!!!

I have one more night here in which I plan on spending time with my husband Shawn and my buddy Steve from Tulsa and also try to hook up and network with a few other photographers!

But let me tell you things are about to change at SDP and for the better. I have learned so much about this business through so many of the people I have looked up to for so long. Their classes were amazing!!! I took one class with Judy Hailey and let me tell you she ROCKED!!!! WOW I walked away with so much from it! I saw so many new products that I will be introducing in the next few weeks, met some of the wonderful people I currently use for products and it was so wonderful to put a face with a voice.

I found a wonderful new company in Tulsa that I will be calling many times for a new AWESOME product I plan on putting together!!! I can go on and on about what and who and all that but I will save some excitement for later.

On that note I am so ready to go home and see my babies and hold them! My wonderful sister in Phoenix has been keeping them for this past week and they have had a blast! I owe her big and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family support with this business, without them I would not be able to do all that I do!!! (Thank you so much)

I also cannot WAIT to see Leah on Saturday for our 4 days of nonstop work!!! I am SOOOOO EXCITED to shoot Jamie and Cory's wedding on Saturday and FINALLY be able to share with you all the wonderful images from her bridal session!!! It was amazing and Jamie ROCKS! She looked stunning, Cory if your reading this be prepared to cry when you see your BEAUTIFUL bride for the first time on Saturday.

Sunday is the Pout/Lush sessions... Have you booked yet??? I have 3 spots left!!!!!!!! HURRY and book!!!!!!!!

Monday followed by a seminar and model shoot! Tuesday Leah goes home :( so sad! BUT on a good note I will get to sit and relax and breath and think about all the great things I get to show you all!!!!!!

OH OH OH I almost competly forgot to tell you all about my engagement session on the strip!!! WOW it was a blast. I hooked up with my wonderful wonderful clients and brought along some of my fav photographers I FINALLY met out here and we rocked it!! Images should be up for a preview in a few days!!!

Another Hello

WOW this week has been busy! I met with two wonderful couples the past few days about their upcoming September weddings! It seems bridal season is under full swing and has kept me very very busy!!!!
I leave Monday for Phoenix to spend sometime with my family and the NBA All star game and then its off to LAS VEGAS for the WPPI! I cannot wait to network and attend classes and learn more and get tons of NEW and fun ideas!

Don't forget about the Boudior shoot coming up as well! I know some of you have already booked but time is running out and spaces are filling up!

Good Morning Blog Readers

Good morning everyone!

I have been busy the last few weeks. Had a bridal that Jamie ROCKED! But can't show you till the wedding!!!! So you will just have to sit tight!

I am heading to VEGAS in 2 weeks for the WPPI and I cannot wait to meet so many great photographers and learn a lot! It has been my goal now to go for 2 years and I said thats it this year I am going and I am!! I have even scheduled an engagement shoot for while I am there with my March wedding couple which I am so excited about!!!

Keep in mind my Feb special with Leah is fast approaching if you don't have your appointment yet you better hurry!!!

Also stay tuned for my Easter background preview and post in the next week or so! The special on that will be running from March 10-March 31. Will include a mini session and some fun shots!!!

People always ask me where are pics of my kids. They assume since I am a photographer I have TONS of them, sad thing is I dont. AND this is why, they want nothing to do with me and a camera!!!!

2009 will be bringing a TON of changes to Sweet Dream Photos. I am looking to take SDP to the next level. With this I plan on introducing some new things. The first among many is "LUSH" by Sweet Dream Photos.

Lush is SDP's Boudoir line. These sessions will be very tasteful and classy! They will be held either in studio, hotel rooms or comfort of your own home in a setting of your choice. They will capture your beauty and sexiness for you to share with your significant other.
Lush's website will be launched in the next few weeks. I am even in the works of planning a special in Feb to introduce Lush fully!!!!

Adorable "M"

I have known the parents of little "M" now for a few months, my husband has known them longer. They stopped by thru all the hecticness of holiday season for a mini session for some Christmas cards. "M" was such a ham!!!! He kept me smiling and laughing more then I think he was!!!

They were in town visiting from Oregon and I told them to bring her by one night so I can capture how great this little girl was! She is SO full of personality and was so easy to work with! Celebrating Adoption

Saturday morning I had the honor of meeting with a family for a "celebrating adoption" shoot.

This family has adopted two beautiful girls and came in to get some Christmas and family pictures taken. Both girls were such a joy to play with. Both full of life and complete opposite personalities. "D" had never met a stranger and warmed right up to me, "S" on the other hand took a little while but it wasn't long before she was blowing me kisses and giving me hugs! I had a blast with you guys, here is a quick preview!

C&J Engagement shoot!

Well as I said in my previous post we did this in two parts!

Part 1 we were faced with 42 degrees and 30mph winds! It was COLD and very hard to focus for all three of us. Cory was such a trooper but you could so tell he would have rather been in his house with the heat on and curled up! Jamie was a great sport, she wanted to push on but when we turned that corner around leadership and that wind met us head on we all looked at eachother and asked what we had planned for Sunday.

So Sunday which was BEAUTIFUL out we met at 1:30 and enjoyed our 72 degree and no wind weather. Cory was so happy and relaxed!!!!
We decided instead of doing downtown OKC to meet in Norman and hit their downtown and then go over to OU and capture them in a place that they are at home and is their second life. So as we walk around the stadium taking various pictures we stumble upon an open gate, of course we look up and see every gate to the stands is locked once we get in there. So we walk a little and notice that the tunnel to the field is unlocked, All of our little eyes just light up! Off we went, the wonderful grounds crew that was mowing said we could come out and have take some picures, they even moved out of our way (Thank you) and so off we went, 50 yard line of a place Cory and Jamie (and tons of other people love). We had a blast, running all over the field!

Jamie and Cory I am SO excited for your wedding in Feb! And thank you so much for letting me a part of all of this!

WOW What a weekend

So I had a fun and eventful weekend.

On Saturday I started early and had a shoot with a wonderful couple and their two precious little girls. "S" took a little time to warm up to me but "D" had never met a stranger. I had a blast. They were so much fun and playful! I am working on uploading and editing now so there will be a sneek peak here in a few hours.
Then I went headed out to an engagement shoot downtown. I have known Jamie now for a few years and was so excited when I got to meet with her a few months ago about shooting her wedding. This was the first time I got to meet Cory, her fiance, and he was sweet as can be!!! Well we met downtown and dealt with the 30 mile an hour winds and freezing temps for hmmmm about 30 min and Jamie looked at me and said can we do this tomorrow! Of course I said yes! Sunday was 70 degrees and PERFECT outside! So we headed to Norman on Sunday and had a great time. Went around downtown Norman for the first 45 min or so and then headed over to OU!!! Watch for a preview, we had quite a treat in store for us when we got there!!!!

I also managed to pull a surprise birthday party off for my husband on Saturday night! Thank you to everyone that was able to help me make that a success!!!!

WOW was yesterday a day I will remember for a long time! For those of you that have been following my blog for a while you may remember a family I met with earlier this summer as part of Operation Love ReUnited. Well I am so pleased to announce that "B" came home yesterday and got reunited with his family (among numerous other military members and families). I was honored to be invited along to the homecoming and I hope that you can see from the images what an emotional day it was. Thank you so much for letting me share this day with you!

What a BEAUTIFUL wedding!!!!!

I shot Brian and Jordans wedding yesterday and it was breathtaking. I have known Brian now for about 6 years and Jordan for the past year. I was honored to be a part of the event and be able to capture your special day for you.

I also got to share this event with Barbara and Michael Berry. Barbara helped shoot the wedding in July with me and this was my first time working with Michael. Thank you both for your hard work, ideas and creativity, it was a pleasure working with both of you and I look forward to future events!

Wow life has been busy here in Sweet Dream Photos land!!!

I just finished up a bridal shoot with Jordan and LOVE the images! She looks BEAUTIFUL!!! I would love to post images but don't want to ruin surprise for anyone going to wedding! So you will just have to wait for this weekend to see how beautiful she looks and wait till next week to see images!!!

Also I am starting a new Senior Plan marketing that I am so excited about! Lots of new and cool products being offered!!! Lots of choices and images to chose from!

AND for all you expecting and new mommas out there there is something new in the works for you also. I now have a maternity and baby plan in the works and let me tell you it is AWESOME!!!

So many cool things going on here and I look forward to sharing them all with you. If you know any seniors this year or any new or expecting mommas let me know so I can mail them some info on these new plans!

Also wedding season for next year is booking up fast!!! I am so excited about these new brides that I have been working with and the things to come for SDP!!!

I have known the Becher family for a long time, if you remember right I shot their family pictures last year this same time, then maternity in March and newborn in April. Well I am so excited to say we finally sat down and capture their first "real" family photo.

Avi is now 4 months old and oh my how she has grown! She was all smiles all night and it was so much fun to play with her and see the love that her parents have for her and the way her eyes lights up when she sees them!!!

This shoot probably meant the most to me today. I have known Amber since my first day of school in Oklahoma my freshman year and although we have had our share of fights we have had even more good times! Amber married Gene and they have Austin and Logan who are two of the sweetest little boys I have ever met! Gene is a perfect compliment to Amber and in high school I would have never placed them together but today I could not think of a more perfect couple!!!!

Today we had a lot of fun and went to a few different locations, duck pond, railroad tracks and Old Towne McAlester. Poor Logan got tired and hungry towards the end and I honestly don't think Austin would have ever quit!!! Gene you were a trooper too, I know it was hot but thanks for not complaining and still smiling for me!!! Love you all

C & J Wedding July 26

Now you all should know I cannot let images sit in my camera for very long without going a little crazy.

I just glanced thru and picked a few from C&J's "Hawaiian" themed wedding! This wedding was very simple and cute. The girls in grass skirts, all the guys in flowered shirts, very adorable!!! C&J have been together for a while now and decided to have a small ceremony to share their love for one another. It was a blast, they were a great couple to get to know and I wish them the best of luck in the future!

What A BLAST!!!!!

I just got home from a LONG weekend of shooting! I had a wedding in Wilburton Oklahoma on Saturday night and 5 (that's right FIVE) Family shoots today!!!

I will write each one a personal note when I start posting previews but let me tell you I had a FLIPPING BLAST!!! Everyone today was on time and willing to do whatever and drive all over creation and I am SOOOOOO excited about the images I captured. All the kids were SO well behaved in the 100 degree heat!!!
The wedding last night was nice and simple, great people with lots of love to share with one another!

Matt and Jessica Wedding

I had the wonderful honor of being involved with two very dear friends of mine wedding. I have know Matt now since right after the start of my relationship with my husband. He and Shawn have been best friends since they were little. Matt has always been one of those people you could count on for anything. If Shawn was out of town and I heard weird noises in the middle of the night I could always count on calling Matt and him rushing over to check it out! Matt was your typical batchlor, he went out with the boys and drank and partied and ran around, then all of a sudden one day it all stopped. He met this wonderful girl named Jessica!!! She and I instantly hit it off (which is a good thing since we are together all the time). She was his missing peice! Yesterday I had the honor of meeting a very strong family. I was contacted about a month ago from the wife of a deployed soldier who has already spent one year in Iraq and has been there again for another 6 months and will not be home until sometime in Oct. They have two AMAZING children who were such a blast!

We went down to the N. Canadian River in Harrah and played in the water and sand. I can honestly say this was the most fun I have had a shoot! We all got in water and ran around, climbed on tree branches, wrote in the dirt and just enjoyed ourselves.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to hang out with you guys and capture your true personality to send to your daddy and husband in Iraq! Thank you also for his fight and courage and to all other military members and families out there.

Here is one image from the shoot yesterday with more to follow in the next day or so! I hope you like it!

WOW! A&E's wedding was on Saturday May 10 and let me tell you it was absolutly BEAUTIFUL!!!! They got married at Tres Suenos Vinyards and it was just breathtaking.
"A" is one of my good friends and I was very honored when she asked me to be part of their special day.
Wedding got started a little late so we took advantage of that and did some fun bridal shots.

WOW I love what March brought me and April hasnt even started yet and its off to a great start.

I am currently working on editting a Maternity shoot that was taken at the North Canadian River in Mcould.

I also got to baby "A" to come visit me in the studio today. Baby "A" was born two weeks ago to S&B (you may remember their maternity shoot from a month ago. We got a few shots but she is coming back to see me this week when she is in a little better of a mood.

I also have M&J's engagement shoot this week that I am so excited about! I will also be shooting their wedding in July and making their invitations.

I have new props arriving this week that I just bought and samples of the purses and a few other things up my sleeve!!!

My email and website crashed on January 27 and just got back up and running. Unfortunatly all emails sent during that time have not been forwarded on (yet) Not sure if they will or if they are off in space land.

On another note....

If you are wanting to do something different for Valentines Day and have a sexy photo shoot to give to your spouse, all pictures must be taken by Feb 7 and ordered by the 9th

The Easter Bunny will also be visiting the studio this year. Easter is March 23 and all Easter pictures must be taken and ordered no later than March 19 to have them in time for Easter!

Hello readers!!! Sorry for the delay in posting. I am currently out of town and have limited computer access. 2008 has already been crazy!!!! I shot at a college basketball game tonight, have shot some at the zoo, took the kids to the park. Its been crazy!

Now dont get me wrong this has not been all play! I have been working like crazy with advertising and getting ready for this coming wedding season. I have been talking to brides and getting things organized and it has been a blast! A dream come true to be able to do what I love so much and still get to stay at home and raise my kids. I am truly blessed! (thanks honey)

I will be posting pictures in the next few days. I have some landscapes, animals, toddlers and sports pictures to post!

Its only January.... Cant wait to see what the remaining 11 months bring!!!

WOW! What a night. Kristen and Randy got married in McAlester Oklahoma. I was honored to be asked to capture their love and share in their day. I have known Randy now over 10 years and he has turned into a fine young man. Kristen is a wonderful young lady and the love they have between them is amazing.
